Building the Bridge
Reweaving the Social Fabric through Conversations Amongst Neighbors
It is no secret that our society is incredibly divided and it is destructive to all parties.

A community comes together to discuss the need to fill a pothole, and before long the meeting devolves into a ping pong match between Fox News and MSNBC talking points.

We must see each other's humanity again. We must be able to hear diverse perspectives again. We must be able to engage with others in different, and might we say better, ways.

We have forgotten that we are united. Different sides have different conspiracies that perpetuate the status quo, often for the benefit of someone other than ourselves. The dust storms spun up by political parties distract us from the fact that the vast majority of us agree on many things that need to be done to make our world a better place. We are working to engage community level dialogue that engages meaningful action to improve our lives.

There are difficult conversations that need to be had, and we do not mean to imply that this is easy, but the only way we are going to move forward is together.

We must work to build bridges so that we can create the future we want and deserve.
